Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Tedord mobile application and related services (the “Services”). By installing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Quick overview

  • Tedord is operated by a solo developer based in Liège, Belgium.
  • The app is intended for personal vocabulary management and syncing only.
  • In-app purchases are processed by Apple App Store with auto-renew you can disable at any time.
  • You may close your account at any moment via the app or by writing to support@tedord.com.

2. Acceptance and updates

Access to the Services is conditional upon full acceptance of these Terms. Tedord may update the Terms for legal, technical, or functional reasons. Material changes will be notified in-app or via email. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. Eligibility and account

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction or hold guardian consent. Provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. License and permitted use

Tedord grants you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Services in accordance with these Terms. Prohibited actions include illegal activity, unauthorized commercial use, reverse engineering, unauthorized access to infrastructure, introducing malware, or otherwise disrupting the Services.

5. User content

You retain ownership of the vocabulary entries or notes you store. You grant Tedord a limited, worldwide, revocable license to host, process, and sync the content solely to provide the Services. You warrant that your content complies with applicable laws and does not infringe third-party rights.

6. Paid features and renewals

Some features may require a subscription. Payments, renewals, and refunds are handled by the distribution platform (Apple) under their own terms. To prevent auto-renewal, disable it at least 24 hours before the current period ends via your App Store settings.

7. Sync and availability

Tedord employs reasonable efforts to keep the Services available but cannot guarantee continuous access. Temporary outages may occur due to maintenance, updates, external factors, or force majeure events.

8. Termination

You may close your account within the app or by contacting us. Tedord may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, pose a security risk, fail to pay, or if required by law. Upon termination, your license ends immediately and your data is handled in line with the privacy policy.

9. Warranties and liability

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TEDORD DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES (INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND CONTINUOUS AVAILABILITY). TEDORD’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR DIRECT DAMAGES IS LIMITED TO THE FEES PAID DURING THE PREVIOUS 12 MONTHS OR EUR 25 IF NO FEES WERE PAID. TEDORD IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES.

10. Data protection

Personal data is processed according to our privacy policy, which details what we collect, why, and the rights you can exercise.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. The parties will first attempt an amicable resolution. Failing that, disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Liège, Belgium, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules.
